We were founded in 1919 by auctioneer and estate agent Sidney Clarke and surveyor Frank Gammon. Together their combined talents created a firm where a professional, personal service was the trademark; it remains at the core of the business today and we are dedicated to delivering a high quality service based on sound professional advice and excellent local knowledge that encompasses all aspects of property.
In May 2003, Clarke Gammon merged with Wellers; specialists in agricultural and equestrian property, farm management and rural practice. Wellers had been formerly known as Weller Eggar after a merger of two highly respected agricultural practices: Weller & Co of Guildford and Eggar & Co of Farnham.
Wellers became the principal firm of auctioneers, valuers and land agents in Surrey, West Sussex and North East Hampshire and earned a coveted reputation for letting, marketing and the acquisition of estates, farms and country properties.
In early 2021, Clarke Gammon Wellers re-branded, dropping ‘Wellers’ to become simply Clarke Gammon. Today, Clarke Gammon combines its long experience, a wealth of local knowledge and the professional expertise of its partners, managers and staff to deliver an exceptional range of services across all sectors of residential, land and new homes, rural, agricultural, professional services and commercial property.
