Clarke Gammon, Estate Agents in Haslemere was opened in 2003 by Partners Steve Cook FNAEA and Mark Steward. The office occupies a prime location at the northern end of the busy High Street, close to the Museum in a large Grade II listed building. Led by Mark Steward, our Land & Development specialist, and Residential Director Paul Monkhouse, the experienced team, who have all lived and worked in and around the town for many years, deal with all types of land and property from apartments and small cottages to country estates, paddocks and woodland.

Working closely with our local offices in Liphook and Guildford and Mayfair Office in London, we maximise the exposure of our clients’ properties to those who already appreciate what the area has to offer and those moving out of London and further afield.

As a business, Clarke Gammon Estate Agents in Haslemere offers a wide range of estate agency services including Residential Sales, New Homes and Land & Development. Property appraisals can be undertaken face to face or by using our instant on-line valuation tool. Based in Haslemere, the Land & Development Department provides expert advice on the disposal or purchase of all types of land including building plots, development opportunities, paddocks, farmland, woodland and amenity land and are one of the only companies in the country experienced in handling the sale of burial grounds/cemeteries. We also offer a Professional Services Department in Guildford which runs Property Auctions.

Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Surrey Hills and on the borders of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, the office covers an area that encompasses the whole of Haslemere (GU27) and the surrounding villages of Grayswood (GU27), Brook (GU8), Chiddingfold (GU8), Northchapel (GU28), Lodsworth (GU28), Lickfold (GU28) and Lurgashall (GU28), across to Midhurst (GU29), Fernhurst (GU27) and Kingsley Green (GU27) and up to Hindhead (GU26) and beyond to the villages towards Farnham (GU9 and GU10).

Land & Planning - Mark has over 30 years experience in estate agency, specialising in prestige and country homes, as well as land and planning matters. Mark was involved in corporate agency in the local area, opening two cold start offices in Grayshott and Haslemere. In 2003 he joined Clarke Gammon Wellers as a Partner and opened the Haslemere Office with Steve Cook. Mark is based at the Haslemere office and lives in the beautiful hamlet of Milland, just to the south of Liphook with his wife, daughter and son. Outside of work his passions are motorsports and golf.

From humble beginnings as a trainee negotiator in 1988, Paul became a Manager of one of the most profitable flagship branches of a large corporate estate agency. Paul has extensive local knowledge of the area having worked in Farnham, Fleet, Alton, Liphook and Haslemere and prides himself on his professional approach to estate agency. Keen to bring his extensive experience in property sales to an established independent firm, Paul joined Clarke Gammon in 2011; initially in Liphook, he now runs the residential sales team at the Haslemere office. He is regularly recommended by both buyers and sellers for his dedication, hard work and approachable manner. A resident of Haslemere for 24 years and with a young family, Paul is a keen mountain biker, runner and an accomplished golfer.

Born at Haslemere Hospital and educated locally, Simon has deep roots in the community. Simon began in estate agency in the vibrant mid-1980s, developing his skills during a period marked by both significant highs and challenging lows. This experience gave him a deep understanding of fluctuating market conditions - knowledge that has proven invaluable in recent years. In 1996, Simon retrained as a property lawyer and enjoyed a successful 20-year career in the field. For the past seven years, he has returned to estate agency, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both sides of the property profession. Outside of work, Simon enjoys trips to the coast throughout the year.

Caroline is an experienced Personal Assistant with a strong background in providing high-level administrative and organisational support across a range of industries, working with high-profile companies and high-net-worth individuals. After spending 10 years living in the Middle East with her husband and two children, she returned to Haslemere. With her children now at university, Caroline joined Clarke Gammon and is enjoying becoming re-acquainted with the local area and the surrounding countryside.

Outside of work, she spends her free time enjoying family walks with her dachshund, Coco. She also has a range of creative interests, including ceramics, painting and gardening.
