Clarke Gammon Wellers Liphook sponsored the Deer’s Hut Charity Classic Car Day

The Liphook branch of Clarke Gammon Wellers were pleased to be the sponsors for this year’s Classic Car Day, which is hosted by Deer’s Hut to raise money for local charities in Liphook. The event is popular, with both local people and those coming from afar attending. The day runs from 10am onwards, and this year’s event was the biggest yet with record numbers turning out.

The Classic Car Day

This year The Deer’s Hut Charity Classic Car Day was held on Sunday 18th June, and as always this was Father’s Day, with many families choosing to celebrate the day together at the event. Every year the Classic Car Day draws attendees from all over the country to share their interest and love for classic cars with a range of ages attending. As always, along with the wide range of classic cars, there was also live music, a range of food stalls with different cuisines and vintage fairground rides to enjoy.

Clarke Gammon Wellers’ chosen winner

Local representatives were selected in advance to each choose a winner car from the selection, with the judges for this year being picked from The Deer’s Hut Team, the local Scouts and the team from Clarke Gammon Wellers. Ian Smith, Associate Director and Josh Kings, Sales Manager from Clarke Gammon Wellers chose a classic Ferrari F355 GTS, built in 1997 and owned by Liphook couple Stuart and Lesley Morton.

Other winners of the Classic Car entries

The Deer’s Hut team chose a convertible maroon coloured MG FF 1500, built in 1954 and owned by Joan Rose and Mick Graham from Petersfield whilst the Scouts selected black Jaguar Aristocat Coupe, which was brought to the event by first time Classic Car Day visitors Paul and Fiona Cooper. Each of the three winners was give a bottle of champagne.
