Background
Founded in 1919 By Sidney Clarke and Frank Gammon. Sidney Clarke was an auctioneer and estate agent and Frank Gammon, a surveyor. Together they combined their talents and established a firm where providing a professional and personal service became the company's trademarks. Today those values remain at the core of the service provided by the firm, which is dedicated to providing a complete property service.
Merger with Wellers
In May 2003, Clarke Gammon merged with Wellers - specialists in agricultural and equestrian property, farm management and rural practice.
Wellers (formerly known as Weller Eggar) was originally formed from the amalgamation of two highly respected and complimentary agricultural practices, Weller & Co of Guildford and Eggar & Co. of Farnham, founded in 1871. This became the base for the practice to become the principal firm of Auctioneers, Valuers and Land Agents in Surrey, West Sussex and North East Hampshire with an established reputation for the letting, marketing and acquisition of estates, farms and country properties.
The combined experience and expertise of Wellers enables the firm to offer an even greater range of services covering all aspects of residential, rural, agricultural and commercial property throughout Surrey, West Sussex and North East Hampshire.
Clarke Gammon Wellers brings together a wealth of experience and knowledge from its partners and managers operating in its various offices. Our vast experience in property matters allow us to provide advice on all matters such as property buying and selling, including commercial and residential property, agricultural and rural, and most other property matters.
